In 1978, he began to study at Muallim Naci Primary School, in İstanbul. Then he continued his education at Orta Doğu Collage. He was graduated from Sakarya University junior technical collage Mechanical departmant. He departed from the factory that he worked and he began to perform a program on the radio called “Ak Radio” in order to realize his ideals about radio, television announcing. One year later he began to perform a program on Kanal 7, and then he became a television programmer on same channel. After one year of radio television announcing education, he was educated as a film director at New York Film Acedemy in the U.S. In July 1999, after he started to shoot his first short movie in New York, he came back to Turkey in order to do his military service. He did his military service in Narlıdere, İzmir. Uğur Arslan who is known with his poetries that he wrote and vocalize, started to perform the program “Deniz Feneri” which contents social assistance on Kanal 7 broadcasted in Ramadan previously. This program which he performed with old movie actor İbrahim Uğurlu aroused interests in a short time, so he established Deniz Feneri Social Assistance Association and he became board chairman in 1998. Uğur Arslan's albums including his own poetries, were released and he is still keeping his program “Deniz Feneri” on Kanal 7.
