He was born in November 20th, 1967 in İstanbul. He graduated from Boğaziçi University, Sociology Departmant. He studied at İstanbul University, Women Research as a grad student. He performed as a vocalist in his first band called “Indians” in many years. After lots of concerts and records, the band broke up and he started to perform as a vocalist in many artists' albums and bands. In 1996, in the Roxy Music Competition, he won the first prize in the best composition and lyric with the songs “Ne Ekmek Ne de Su” and “Yollar” from his first solo album. His first album called “Teoman” was released by İstanbul Plak, in 1996. In 1998, Teoman started to work with NR1 Music in his second album called “O”, and he kept on working with NR1 Music in his third album “On yedi”. And then, Teoman began to work with Avrupa Muzik which he is working today. Teoman who composes and writes most of his songs worked with producer Rıza Erekli in his albums called “O” and “On Yedi”. He performed his first cover in his album called “O” with the song “Gemiler” which belongs to Orhan Atasoy and Ercüment Vural. These covers take place in his third album “On yedi” too. He also performed Ajda Pekkan's “Uykusuz Her Gece” and Bora Ayanoğlu's “O Yaz”. Moreover, he performed Barış Manço's “Anlıyorsun Değil mi” in his album called “Gönülçelen”. Besides, he performed “Kol Düğmeleri” from Barış Manço, and he also performed “Resimdeki Gözyaşları” from Mehmet Soyarslan. His first film “Balans ve Manevra” which directed and written by himself, was featured in March 11th, 2005. He took place in this film as an actor, and made the soundtrack album of this movie. This soundtrack album was released with the same name. In 2008, his album called “Söz Müzik Teoman” was released. In this album, he performed with some musicians like Sezen Aksu, Candan Erçetin, Yalın, İzel.
