Özgün graduated Hacettepe Üniversitesi Ankara Devlet Konservatuarı and he worked at Cumhurbaşkanlığı Senfoni Orkestrası. He released his debut album, "Elveda"Şeytan, Yanarım, Kandırman Lazım, Günahkar ve Aşk Çiçeği", in 2005. Özgün released his second studio album, "Nöbetçi Aşık" in 2007. He shot the videos of Kıvırır, Acıyı Çeken Anlar, Yalnızlık and Kıpır Kıpır. His third album “"Biz Ayrıldık" released in 2009. Özgün continued his success with his last album “Yeni”. He shot the video clip “İstiklal” .The song , which Özgün released in 2010, debuted at number one in charts.
